A perfectly serviceable reference copy; nothing fancy, but complete, having been what appears to be "Class Property," a personal copy of Margaret Carter [?], being the ninth number of the first volume. The "Historical Sketch of the State Normal School at San Jose - 1862 - 1889, State Office, Supt. of State Printing, 1889," according to the Wikipedia entry about the Normal School, [1] 93-110 pp., moderately worn and soiled copy, personal address label to front cover, chipped edges and page, split to spine of light brown printed, illustrated (with a likeness of a telescope) wraps. Short story by "Maggie Carter," period advertisements galore, news and notes from Podunk, San Jose, Santa Clara and other California burgs.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
