About This Item

New York: Warner & Brownell, 1900. Hardcover. Very Good. 12mo. Pp. 243, (1). Bound in yellow linen with lettering stamped on front cover and spine. Front edge untrimmed; top edge gilt. Slight wear and age-toning. Binding starting in a couple signatures. A discrete "39" written in pen on the top corner of the ffep. In sum, a handsome, presentable copy. Charming tales of fin-de-seicle Japan, with stories, anecdotes and insight regarding cities and regions throughout Japan, not just Tokyo.
