The new binding is in pristine condition with only minor scuffing to the box. Photographs available upon request.. Printed in Great Britain by the Ballantyne Press. Originally published in black cloth, this copy has a contemporary full black leather binding with red titling on the spine and a white skeleton figure on the upper cover with the top edge stained red and marbled endpapers - a very attractive effort. It is now housed in a black paper covered box with a contemporary printing of one of the Clarke illustrations adhered to the front. Size: 8.5"x10.75", 381pp., with 8 colour hand-tipped plates mounted on grey cardstock and 24 black & white illustrations.
