This edition was published sometime in the 1930s. There is a color frontispiece showing the rolling waves of the Pacific. A significant photo, because it might be the same location where the master of Purple Prose once escorted one his consorts, the beautiful Millicent: "there is a rapture on the lonely shores," he once inscribed to her. And there's enough slain fish to satisfy the most bloodthirsty among us - more than enough to fill his boat several times over. Not so meaningful at the time; still in his reign it was excessive, and it's out of favor and frowned upon now. And I'm frowning. Do you think I protest the Master too much? I'll answer my own question by saying - Jasus No. Actually I have restrained myself by not listing his dalliances with sailfish, marlin, and even small bonefish. The book is bound in yellow cloth with green titles. Photo end papers. Pictorial dust jacket. There is a discard stamp on the front end paper, otherwise the book is clean and very good in a good-very good dust jacket with light edge wear and a few small chips..
