Houston, Texas; (1986): Somerset House Corporation. First Edition. Quarto. 151pp., signed by the artist on the title page. Jones recently passed away at 84 this past November, 2017. He was among the most famous artists in Austin. He painted popular Western scenes, but also urban streetscapes set at the turn of the past century. Foreword by Ray Miller and preface by Susan Hallsten McGarry, Illustrated throughout in color with some folding and black and white, contains chronology, selected bibliography and a catalogue raisonne of prints. Bound in full padded leather lettered in gilt, silk moire endpapers, previous owner's gift inscription on front free silk endpaper. A very good copy with minor spots of rubbing to corners and spine ends.
