Battye, Principal Librarian and Secretary, preface by authors, index of vernacular names and index of scientific names. Plain card cover with black coloured titles to the front panel. A listing of the birds of Western Australia put out in the 1940s  which focuses on not only identification but geographical variation in the same species of bird. Chipping to the book corners, to the head and to the heel of the backstrip, along the front fore cover edge and to the top left-hand corner of the rear panel. Browning to the book panels. The glue that holds the cover to the textblock has come away at the front hinge. Surprisingly, only mild age toning of the internal pages. Size: Trade Paperback. (5), VI, (1), 2-126 pages,.
