Random House, New York, 1978. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Edward Sorel. Non paginated, foreword by Edward Sorel. Duo toned frontispiece, being a caricature of Richard Nixon by Edward Sorel. The text is illustrated with either caricatures or cartoons again by Edward Sorel, either in black or white or in duo toned illustrations. 1/4 black coloured cloth backstrip with gilt coloured titles. 3/4 black coloured boards with self embossed facsimile signature of Edward Sorel on the front panel. Illustrated dustwrapper, again by Edward Sorel, with white coloured background and black coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. A collection of the American cartoonist and satirist Edward Sorels' cartoons and caricatures. No sacred cow is left untouched. Minor rubbing to the backstrip edges and corners. Very light age toning of the textblock edges. Chipping to the top backstrip edge with some small tears to the lower dustwrapper edge and to the top right-hand corner of the front panel. Rubbing and handling marks to the dustwrapper panels. There is a crease that runs the full length of the front fold over panel. This is the First USA Edition. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall.
