The author went in search of inspiration, characters, a plot and other raw materials to write a novel in the Romantic tradition. Bumping and rubbing to the book corners with rubbing of the book edges and softening of the back strip. Some rubs and stains to the book panels with light browning and foxing of the text block edges. Browning and foxing of the endpapers and pages. Cracking of the front hinge, with underlying webbing visible. This is the first UK edition. Size: 12mo (Small Hardcover). 213, [4] pages..
