The signature is printed. There are two very faint horizontal folds due to storage, else in very good condition.Sheet size 112 x 155 cms (44 x 61 inches)Habitat: 'Terence Conran and Bernard Jacobson have specially commissioned for these prints from original work from some of the foremost contemporary artists, all of whom were at the Royal College of Art during the vintage years of the fifties.'the most eminent artists, all of whom were at the Royal College of Art during the late fifties.'Those artists were David Hockney 'Le Nid du Due' ; Robyn Denny 'Flower Piece'; Peter Blake 'Liberty Blake' and Richard Smith 'Sun Curtain'. These prints were sold through Habitat in 1971 as a unlimted edition, although 1000 copies were made. Signatures were printed on, not hand signed.

London, 1914. Single sheet.. Very Good. James McBey.. (Hardie 148) A etching made in 1914. Number 9 of an edition of 50 copies. A very good impression on antique laid paper with a eagle and snake watermark. My conservator suggested this was 17th century paper.There was light foxing near the number which has been cleaned. (See photo with watermark) Signed and numbered in ink. "The south bank of the Thames, at Bermondsey round the curve of the muddy shore, barges are lying under warehouses. In the foreground, four men are repairing a barge, while another stands on the deck, working a pump." (Hardie).
