Book is a novel of first love set in, " a quiet little French-Canadian village surrounded by lakes and woods. " 142 pp. Pale blue paper covered boards have gilt and black text on spine, gilt decoration on front panel. Book has rubbed spine ends, slightly bumped bottom corners. Wraparound DJ ($3.25 svm) has darkened spine, edge wear at spine ends. Story won Canadian Library Association's Bronze Medal.
