Green coloured cloth covered boards with self embossed decoration to the front panel and gilt coloured titles and self embossed decoration to the backstrip. Gilt to the top text edge. 23 short stories from New York. Softening and rubbing of the backstrip edges and rubbing of the book corners. Tanning and staining of the textblock edges with age toning of the pages. The free front end page has been removed! Offset tanning and some foxing to the first few and last few pages of the book. Cracking of the hinge between the free front end page (or where it should be) and half title page, with underlying webbing visible. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [8], 3 - 310, [4] pages..
