New York: New Directions, 1947. Fifth Printing . Illustrated Cloth. Very Good+/Very Good. Light shelfwear to corners; sound and unmarked; original owner's unique bookplate inside front cover. Jacket shows wear/tear at corners and edges, spine somewhat darkened, light soiling, original price ($2.75) at bottom of front flap. Inscribed by Williams on the front flyleaf. This, the best known of Tennessee's plays, opened at the Barrymore Theatre in NY on Dec 3, 1947. Marlon Brando and Kim Hunter starred. The original owner was well know to me; provenance available to those with serious interest.
