This beautiful old Bible contains both the Old and New Testaments, marginal notes, a general introduction as well as introductions and concluding remarks to each book, parallel passages from other bibles and bible commentaries, philological and explanatory notes, a table of contents, a chronological index, an index of subjects contained in both old and new testaments, as well as an index to notes, introductions, and concluding remarks. The book is in Good Condition with some foxing on the pages and slight exterior edge wear. The three page edges are all gilted in gold. Inside there is a former owner's gift inscription to his son, dated 1917.Published in the year 1850 in Philadelphia, this book is illustrated with full page steel engravings. Bound in full leather with gold decor on the spine and covers, this Bible is beautiful to look upon, and will make a fine addition to the library of both the religious student as well as the collector of fine books.

Fictional story of Wannaseska, the Cherokee prophet set during the time the State of Georgia (white settlers) were about to confiscate Cherokee Lands in N. Georgia. The prophet is first hand eye witness and victim to the outrages. Story ends with the Trail, of Tears when the Cherokees agreed to move to Indian Territory in Oklahoma.
