Toronto: The Rose Publishing Co., 1885. Second Edition. Hardcover. pp. 192. 12mo., measuring 18cm. Publisher's original stamped dark-green cloth over boards, bright gilt lettering to the spine, black lettering and design to the front board. Single black-and-white engraved frontispiece depicting the Frog Lake Massacre accompanied with eleven additional engraved plates, in-text illustrations, and many engraved head and tail pieces. Light rubbing to the cloth extremities, tips, touch of bumping to the spine ends, light age-toning to the pages, else, text-blcok remains clean and unmarked with tight, sound binding; very good.
