Brayer to California historian John Hussey) to front fixed endpaper, else fine, entirely clean and unworn. 5 volume set, original brown cloth with titles and decoration in gilt, quartos (8.5 x 10.5 inches), approx. 400 pages per volume. Profusely illustrated with b/w and color plates, including large tri-fold frontispiece - a panoramic photo in color of the exposition.

The 1915 exposition was located on what is now San Francisco's Marina Green. The only structure remaining in place is the domed Palace of Fine Arts, designed by Bernard Maybeck. The inscription noted in our condition description is that of scholar/historian
