As noted in the Introduction the cover shows the official poster of the United States Constitution Sesquicentennial Commission, painted by Howard Chandler Christy.Text block clean and tight. Verso of front board has a printed book plate of the Sesquicentennial Commission and on the front fly leaf the printed words, ""Compliments of Thos. J. Watson."". Book contains black and white cameo photographs/reproduced paintings of various statesmen. There is a small chip on back cover and rubbing at edges, corners, and head and heal of spine. * From the Introduction, ""That the people may study the document itself, the text of the Constitution and of all the amendments is given, and given as nearly as possible exactly as in the originals from the engrossed parchment of the Constitution as signed by George Washington to the Twenty-First Amendment as proclaimed by Franklin D. Roosevelt. It is the Constitution from our first President to our present President."" [Note: President at the time this was published: Franklin D. Roosevelt.]
