About This Item
New York: Something Else Press, 1967. Cloth. Very Good/Very Good +. INSCRIBED BY CLAES OLDENBURG across the title page. A solid copy to boot of the 1967 1st edition. Tight and VG in its off-white cloth, with a thin band of foxing along the front and rear panel's top-edges. And in a bright, price-intact, VG+ dustjacket, with very light scuffing at the rear panel. Quarto, crisp black-and-white and color illustrations thruout complementing the text. (From the title page: "Documents from The Store [1961] and Ray Gun Theatre [1962] -- Selected by Claes Oldenburg and Emmett Williams -- Photographs by Robert R. McElroy"). Also includes a pristine example of the original business card for "The Store" (at 107 E. 2nd St.), which is inserted into its glassine pocket pasted-on to the front free endpaper.
