The colophon reads: "Between 1957 and 1965 Gus Rueter's private press, The Village Press, Thornhill, [Ontario], produced ten books and a variety of printed ephemera for the printer's pleasure and the reader's delight. The original edition of 'The Stonecutter's Dream' appeared in 1961. This edition was handset in Unciala and Menhart Roman types and printed on Zerkall Nideggen paper by William Rueter at The Aliquando Press, Toronto. The three-colour linoleum cut is printed on handmade chiri paper. Seventy copies were produced in August 1994 in honour of The Village Press, Thornhill and its proprietor. The first twenty copies are specially bound. This copy is number 23." Printed in the original Dutch on the left-hand pages with the English translation on the facing page. Sewn, pamphlet stitch binding, printed terra-cotta wrappers. A fine book by Will Rueter honouring his father's work. Numbered Limited Edition of 70 copies. This being #23.. Numbered, Limited Edition.
