Nanking, 1900. Otherwise very good condition. A b&w photograph of stone warriors and a Chinese man standing behind, mountains in the background. Hongwu Emperor (Zhu Yuanzhang) ruled for 30 years and was buried at Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum on the Purple Mountain, in the east of Nanjing.
Zhu Yuanzhang ended the Mongol led Yuan dynasty. He is known for rebuilding a country ravaged by war, supporting agriculture, reducing taxes and establishing laws protecting the property of peasants.
