The dedication copy, with extra material First edition, first printing, the dedication copy, hors commerce copy I/XV, from a total edition of 226 copies on vélin de Rives signed by Beckett and le Brocquy. This is the dedicatee's copy additionally marked "BR" for Barney Rosset, for whom the story was written. An immaculate copy of Beckett's last prose work, together with extra material. Loosely inserted are: 1) a 26-page review copy in its original illustrated wrappers (with the publisher's "Review Copy" and "Facsimile Only" stamps to front cover), showcasing 9 of the illustrations along with some text. 2) a 3-panel folding prospectus for the same, with le Brocquy's illustration to front panel. Tall quarto. Original white calf-backed buckram, titles to spine and pictorial design to upper board in gilt. Housed in publisher's slipcase. 1 original lithographic image in two tone of Beckett, 8 original lithographic drawings in black ink printed by Pierre Chave. A fine copy.
