A scarce almanac issued only English, presumably for emigrants to the US through the ports of northern Germany.
Nearly half the text is devoted to the United States, including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Rules of the House and Senate, a description of the banking system, and extensive statistics on US foreign trade. The author was an emigration agent in Bremen active in both the US and Australian markets. OCLC locates copies at the Peabody Essex and the German Maritime Museum, Bremerhaven, as well as three copies for 1844 and one for 1845.
