Boston: S.E. Cassino, 1884. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. viii, 535 pages, including index, 42 unnumbered leaves of plates : illustrations ; 27 cm. 4to. Hardcover. Publisher's original 3/4 crushed green morocco and cloth over boards, raised bands stamped with gilt lettering to spine, marbled endpapapers and leading edges. Book Condition: Portion of backstrip cracked and loose for most of the length of the hinge to upper cover, wear exposing boards in several places, including corners and along the hinges. Interior fresh and unmarred, binding very sound, covers firmly attached. Very Good. Scarce in any condition. Illustrated by 244 woodcuts and 42 full page plates.
