Boston: S.E. Cassino, 1885. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. vii, 558 pages, including index, 25 unnumbered leaves of plates : illustrations ; 27 cm. 4to. Hardcover. Publisher's original 3/4 crushed green morocco and cloth over boards, raised bands stamped with gilt lettering to spine, marbled endpapapers and leading edges. Errata tipped in after index. Book Condition: Portion of backstrip cracked and loose, wear exposing boards in several places, including corners and along the hinges. Interior fresh and unmarred, binding very sound, covers firmly attached. Very Good. Scarce in any condition. Illustrated by 273 woodcuts and 25 full page plates.
