Gilt is bright.

Slightly foxed end papers and cut edges. Very good text block, with tightly bound pages, with ten b/w illustrations, (including frontispiece). No dedications etc.Without jacket.

Edinburgh: David McKay Company, 1887. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Edition and printing not known. In good plus cloth boards, gilt titles to back strip. The boards are tight, straight and quite clean apart from a few marks; spine ends bumped. Tanned end papers. Dark tint to top cut edge; the fore and tail edges are lightly tanned. Very good text block, tight; end pages tanned; the rest of the pages are clean. Frontispiece with tissue guard and illustration on title page. No dedications etc. Without jacket.
