London, Heinemann, 1929;. 1st edition, first printing, of Alison Uttley's first published book for children. Hardback.7" x 5.5". Good / No dust jacket. 111pp with delightful colour illustrations by Margaret Tempest and with text in blue. Green pictorial endpapers by Margaret Tempest. Free front endpaper has had a sticker removed leaving a scuff mark and a closed tear which has been repaired. Red covers with black title on front & spine plus pictorial inlay showing Grey Rabbit on stepping stones. 1" from the top of the spine is missing Spine cracked & worn at back hinge , light wear at corner. A nice copy, clean and bright throughout. .
