npl: npub, 1898. Pamphlet. 8p., stapled wraps, 6x9 inches, two fold-creases, beginning to split along both folds, front wrap toned above fold else good condition. None found in OCLC as of 10/2021. The department store magnate counters charges made by Senator and Republican party boss Matthew Quay that his company had imported foreign workers instead of hiring Americans. Wanamaker would be appointed U.S. Postmaster General by President Harrison the next year.
