Sturdy, thicker book, shiny black cloth, gilt lettering near-bright on spine with red border,address label inside top front cover, light soiling inside covers and adjacent end papers,720 pages. DJ glossy white beneath mylar lightly browned, flag colors behind title on front with photo of partisans, spine red and yellow badly faded, praise on back from Vincent Sheean, John Gunther, Manchester Guardian and others. DJ has microtear near top front tip, 1 1/4"tear at spine top right edge, quite wide, tiny tear at spine top left edge, wide nick with crease at spine bottom right edge, tiny tear at top back tip. Fair DJ/Very Good book.
