Philadelphia: Henry T. Coates & Co, 1895. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good+/Very Good+. 2 volumes, complete. First Edition Thus.Translated from the tenth Italian edition. Decorated green cloth boards, with the original linen dust jackets. Bookplate to each volume, very light foxing to the front endpapers, captioned tissue guarded plates, contents clean, with only light rubbing to board tips. Overall a very clean and attractive set, in the gilt lettered green linen slipcase which is a little scuffed. A near fine set.
