Lutterworth Press, London, 1952. Edition Unstated. Hardcover. Good Condition/Fair. Colour illustrated frontispiece, illustrated not credited. Blue coloured boards with dark blue coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as for frontispiece, with white, red and blue coloured titles to the front panel and white and red coloured titles to the back strip. An adventure where Guy Laurence and Tony Carlisle, supposedly resting after adventures in far eastern waters, sign-on as deckhands on the good ship Jane, bound to South America with an odd cargo ... Softening and fading to the back strip edges with rubbing of the book corners. Light browning of the text block edges and pages with scattered foxing to the top textblock edge. Some marks to the lower left hand corner of the free front endpaper. Chipping, with loss, to the dustwrapper corners and back strip edges. Numerous tears to the edges of the dustwrapper, some with associated creasing. The lower edge of the rear panel has some pieces missing please see photographs. Rubbing of the dustwrapper panels and creases with some stains to the rear panel. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 144 pages.. Dust Jacket price-clipped. Please refer to accompanying picture (s).
