Summerville, Ga: Summerville News Company, 1923. First Edition. Small Octavo. 23 pages. The only reported copy is in the Special Collections of the University of Georgia Library. The White Southerners in the early 20th Century took to mocking the dialect of the African Americans. The supposed minister served in World War I where blacks were generally given the lowest jobs. Staple-bound in pictorial wraps lettered and decorated in black, edges showing only light edge wear. Very nice.
