Both hinges recently repaired and new red title label, ruled and lettered in gilt, to spine. Board edges rubbed and bumped. Previous owners names, dated 1760, on front paste down endpaper. Overall a very good book in a presentable early binding.:

Text and images were printed using photopolymer plates and reduction linoleum blocks. Fonts are Optima Bold and Gill Sans Light. Handbound in quarter-cloth with cover paper of handmade walnut dyed flax. 3.5 x 3.5" illustration inset of quilted papers, which were designed with the artist's mother. Includes an excerpt from The System of Dante's Hell by Jones and Roosevelt After Inauguration by William Burroughs (Schottlaender v4.C25; Shoaf III-25). An unmarked copy, never folded or mailed, with stains to back cover and a little toning.

The binding is unsigned but certainly by a master Binder.
