Signed presentation from Peter Deyneka Jr. on the front endpaper, to Alabama Republican Congressman John Buchanan: "To Congressman John Buchanan- in gratitude for your concern that the oppression of Christians in the USSR would not be forgotten. Peter Deyneka, Jr. March 17, 1980." Rep. Buchanan was a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee where he fought for the rights of people behind the Iron Curtain. He also served on the United Nations Human Rights Committee. The Deyneka's were missionaries with the Slavic Gospel Association. A nice association copy and uncommon signed by the author. 8vo., black cloth in dust jacket; 235 pages. [There was also a paperback edition, which is more common than this hardcover edition. Illustrated with Photographs.. Very Good (covers nice & bright; contents clean & tight; two tiny ink initial stamps); minor wear d/j.
