This is the oversize version with a beautiful buckram binding and exceptional photography. 554 illustrations , 508 in color , of 327 species.Wetmore was Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution. He is joined here by contributions from many other ornithologists. The book itself is in splendid condition.The graphics on the buckram , featuring a Cardinal , are very bright. The large volume is tight and the interior is clean , no marks.The dust jacket has a tear at the top of the front cover and wear at the top edge. There is a gift inscription on the second free endpaper.
