The page edges are gild with some darkened areas, mostly on the bottom edges. The Cover/Spine gild runs the range from bright to black, which I've tried to show in the pictures. Consists of a Historical section of 145 pages and a Bibliographical section of 136 pages. Amazon states a 1900 date, but both title page date and the author introduction date are 1908 with NO Mention of an earlier edition.
