About This Item

New York, U.S.A.: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1957. Book. Very Good +. Hardcover. Signed by Author(s). First Edition/First Printing. A solid square carefully read copy. This copy has some light browning/soil to the edges of the text block. This copy has some light board rubbing wear, some edge wear, lightish corner bumps. The 7.50 priced jacket has some rubbing wear, edge wear, some chipping at the top and heel of the spine. Basis for the movie and is the author's second novel. This copy has been inscribed " To O. R. Davis With thanks for many tips on how to Grind them up. " Camp des Loges 7 Sept 1963 James Jones Pretty nice over all copy. I have seen several other books signed by James and he seemed to have a habit of adding the location that the book was in, not all but some. The location mentioned in this dedication is in Verdun France and possibly brings up events and memories of WWII possibly shared by both men. THIS BOOK IS IN MY POSSESSION AND NORMALLY SHIPS NEXT DAY. A.10-57[H] Basis for the movie starring Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Shirley MacLaine. .
