New York: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1897. First edition of his most financially successful book. Six full-page illustrations including the frontispiece by C. D. Gibson and with full-length "Gibson Girl" on front cover. Dark yellow cloth stamped in dark blue and gilt on front and dark blue on spine. About very good with boards relatively bright but spine tanned and spine lettering a little rubbed. [Quinby 14, BAL 4525].
