Ohio State University Press, Columbus, 1972. First Edition. Hardcover. Good/Good. Illustrator: Illustrated. 800 g.; (6) VII -- XXIV, 398 pages, last page blank, foreword by Lewis W. Spitz, preface by editors, knowledge months, list of abbreviations, note on the contributors, index and a list of illustrations. Dark gray coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with four pages of black and white reproductions of contemporary illustrations. Black coloured cloth covered boards, with small gilt illustration to the lower right-hand corner of the front panel and gilt titles to the backstrip. Minor bumping to the backstrip ages and to the book corners. There is a bump to the top edge of the front panel. Dust marks to the top text block edge. Very light age turning of the internal text. Black and white illustrated dustwrapper (wraparound) which has had a dark purple coloured overlay, with white titles to the front panel and backstrip. A little rubbing to the dust at the edges and a few small tears to the backstrip ages. Some minor rubbing to the dustwrapper panels and some residue of tape marks to the verso of the dustwrapper. A series of essays/lectures/addresses dealing with the social history of the Reformation of Europe. The Reformation was not only a schism in religion but also in the social aspects of everyday life.
