NY: Double Elephant Editions, 1991. First edition. Fink, Larry. Folio, [1] p. text, plus 15 original gelatin silver prints 13 x 18 inches, archivally window-matted to 19 x 23 inches. All are housed in a cloth clamshell box. The box is bumped at the tips and fore edge, and the cloth is slightly rubbed; there is one small 1/2 inch abrasion on rear and slight soiling. Limited to 25 copies. Each photo SIGNED, titled, with the edition number on the blank verso of the print. The photographs and mounts are in fine, as new condition. Larry Fink studied at the New School of Social Research in New York, taking classes with Lisette Model and Alexey Brodovitch. He taught at the Parsons School of Design and the New School as well as Yale and Cooper Union. He describes his work as follows: "My photographs have been taken with intent to help the human revolution and to do it at the right moment in history. They will testify to the transformation. Such is my feeling. Such is my need." From the prospectus, which is laid in: "Larry Fink's photographs are best described under the rubric 'new social photography.' ...reliant on the styles of Robert Frank, Garry Winogrand and Diane Arbus, Fink's work reflects not only the mood of the period of American life that he photographs, but also the currency of the social and artistic forces and institutions that have developed and formed him as an artist.

Stamford: The New Overbrook Press, 1984. This copy in a unique binding by Jack & Emma Craib: full black morocco with mother-of-pearl onlays forming design of characters from the play climbing out of the cylinder tube in which Beckett has set the play. The design reveals itself as a pictorial image only with the use of an anamorphoscope which is a 6 inch silver tube sitting on top of one of the marble onlays. Limited to 250 copies on Rives, each copy signed by Samuel Beckett. Each of the seven etchings is hand-numbered and signed by the artist, Charles Klabunde. Charles Klabunde, master engraver, was born in Nebraska where he spent the first two formative decades of his life. He received his MFA at the University of Iowa where his unusual talents were discovered by master print-maker Mauricio Lazansky who invited Klabunde to join his Print Workshop. Following his one-man exhibition at The Minneapolis Institute of Art, the artist moved to New York where he established his own printmaking studio and… Read More
