Tight and VG, with fine gilt-tooling along the compartments, 5 raised bands and bright gilt-titling at the spine. Light scuffing --and just a touch of spotting-- to the front panel, very light wear along the rear hinge. Internally, very clean, with no writing or markings to speak of. Octavo, handsome matching marbled endshhets and pastedowns. Lovely color plates thruout of the different species (with accompanying color plates of the eggs of that species).
