Lightly dust-soiled page edges else very good plus copy in a very good jacket with some slight darkening, and a small closed tear top rear panel (less than 1"), with an unclipped price.. First Edition. Hardcover. First edition, first printing, with "First published in Great Britain, 1959" & no indication of a later printing on copyright page. First of Lambert's seven novels. Born in 1924 in England, Lambert moved to Hollywood in 1955. He has assistant director for a time to Nicholas Ray, and wrote several screenplays (The Roman Spring of Mrs. Stone, I Never Promised You a Rose Garden, &.). A lifelong friend of Natalie Wood, he also wrote & adapted INSIDE DAISY CLOVER, a major vehicle for her. 8vo green cloth. PLEASE NOTE that all our First Editions are also First Printings, unless we specifically note otherwise. All our dust jackets are protected in clear mylar covers.
