A nice clen copy without ownership inscription or other internal marking. Pp.xi,[3],118. The story of the seizure by Sir Gilbert de Middleton of the Bishop of Durham and robbery of two Cardinals of Rome in 1317 which "was the beginning of the rebellion against the misgovernment of Edward II, a rebellion which was never quite extinguished, and was only ended by his deposition ten years later.
