About This Item

London: Geoffrey Bles, 1953. First edition of this classic work. Octavo, original cloth, illustrated. Near fine in a near fine dust jacket, contemporary name to the half-title page. Illustrated by Pauline Baynes. An exceptional example, as this is the most difficult volume in the series to find in collectible condition.

Synopsis

The Silver Chair  finds King Caspian as grown man, and quite sad as it has been ten years since his son, Prince Rilian, has disappeared. Traveling through the wild lands of Narnia, Jill and Eustace must proceed on a perilous quest to find the Prince! On their way they find a marsh-wiggle, a race of giants, and a wicked Green Lady who has a plot to take Narnia under her control!
