No markigns, very slight waviness to portion of margins to lower page edges of some pges due to a bit of moisture intrusion, no musty smell, thus Good in Acceptable dust jacket with loss to head of spine; Dj is in mylar sleeve. Boards, map end papers, 281pp, lovely colour plates of paintings of NYC by athe author augmented wth line drawings. Chiang Yee, self-styled as "The Silent Traveller", was a Chinese poet, author, painter and calligrapher. The success of The Silent Traveller in London was followed by a series of books in the same vein, all of which he illustrated himself. (1.8 JM HOQ 100/a4. 1st. Hardcover.
