Extremely rare and important signed publicity still, "Sincerely - Judy Holliday", from the 1960 MGM film 'Bells are Ringing', 8" x 10", black and white, depicting Holliday sitting at her switchboard as co-star Dean Martin hovers over her. Also additionally signed by the writers Adolph Green and Betty Comden - who provided lyrics, libretti, and screenplays to some of the most beloved and successful Hollywood musicals and Broadway shows of the 1940's - 1960's. Their first success came in 1944 with the release of On The Town which was the first show by a bunch of bright upstarts - Comden and Green, Leonard Bernstein, and Jerome Robbins, all still in their 20's. They would go on, together and apart, to help shape the cultural landscape of the 20th century. And not surprisingly, all were dear friends of Judy Holliday and Jerry Mulligan. *'Bells Are Ringing' was a box office disappointment and lost money despite being directed by Vincente Minnelli, produced by Arthur Freed (his last), music by Jule Styne and arrangements by Andre Previn. Fine condition.<br/><br/> American actress, comedian and singer who was the recipient of the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in 'Born Yesterday' (1950). She died of cancer at age 43.<br/><br/>
