Basis for Sam Peckinpah's violent 1971 film classic, Straw Dogs, starring Dustin Hoffman, Susan George, and a bunch of kill-crazy Devon townies, considered by many to be his finest directorial effort in a career that included many important films.

In near fine condition showing only light wear. Translated from the German by Ralph Manheim. When Günter Grass published "The Tin Drum" in 1959 it was as if German literature had been granted a new beginning after decades of linguistic and moral destruction.
