Shrek tells the story of an ugly ogre named Shrek who, after being turned out by his parents, travels around the countryside meeting a host of characters before coming upon a princess with whom he falls in love and who loves him, too, exactly how he is. The basis of the popular animated film, Shrek, written by Ted Elliott, Terry Rossio, Joe Stillman, and Roger S,H. Schulman, directed by Andrew Adamson and Vicky Jenson, featuring the voices of Mike Meyers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz, John Lithgow, Vincent Cassel, and Julie Andrews. The film won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature, and was nominated for Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material Previously Produced or Published.
