A defense of the Club against contemporary political attacks; it argues that its goals are to uphold a national educational system based on scripture; to preserve the Church of England and Ireland, while breaking the hold of Catholicism in Ireland, etc.; list of publications includes many anti-Catholic tracts.

Tall octavo. 51pp. Publisher's brown cloth stamped in blind and titled and decorated in gilt. Foxing throughout the text, a little light wear on the boards, else very good or better. Includes musical notation and lyric for six songs. Apparently each of the songs was issued separately as sheet music as well. Scarce.
