This is the limited Advance Reader's Edition state - often referred to as an Advance Reading Copy, Uncorrected Proof, or ARC - fast becoming an attractive "collectible", as it precedes the First Edition. The famous/infamous moment in American Civil War history is here told from the perspective of three characters: a Union army captain, a Southern farmwife-refugee, and General Sherman himself. 233 pages. CONDITION: a bright, tight, square, unmarked, uncreased Very Good Plus copy with minimal shelf-wear, compromised only by scuffing at the spine-top corners (see accompanying scan images). This handsome, collectible copy is now in a clear, protective polypropylene bag.
