Illustrator: Wernher Forman -- Photographer. 1 kg.; (6) 7-128 pages, chronological table, bibliography, index and acknowledgements. Map illustrated endpapers showing the Delta (of the Nile) and The Nile Valley before the End of the Old Kingdom and on the other page The Memphite Area: Ineb Hedj, the Pyramids, and of the Sun-Temples. The text is illustrated with copious colour photographs throughout the text. 1/4 black coloured cloth covered backstrip with gilt titles. 3/4 photographic board with white titles to the front panel. A little rubbing to the book corners and backstrip edges. Previous owner had placed her name to the top right-hand corner of the half title page and it to the top right-hand corner of the contents page. History of ancient Egypt in the Old Kingdom -- 2658-2135 BCE. Part of the "Echoes of the Ancient World" series. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall.
