New York: Random House, 1964. First edition, 1st printing. Hardcover book complete in its original dust jacket (unclipped). 22 cm. 317 pp. A collection of essays by Ellison, author of the classic, 'The Invisible Man'. In very good condition. No ownership marks/writing present within. Hinges tight, pages bright. Spotting to the front/back matter, book block edges and to some of the interior pages. Offsetting to the end pages. Moderate edge wear/tear, rubbing, soiling to the dust jacket (now protected under a removable mylar sleeve).


A collection of writings from Ralph Ellison (author of Invisible Man ) that spans an era from World War II to the Vietnam War.
